What will you be doing?

As a Senior AI Consultant, you will collaborate with our customers to understand their challenges and opportunities and think strategically about how AI can address these needs.

Part of your workload also consists of: 

  • Participating in presales activities
  • Leading workshops to support customers in idea development and roadmapping
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions and implementing them
  • Sharing knowledge with your delaware team members

Who are we?

From creating statistical forecasts, over to training machine learning models, up to agentic automation with GenAI, we’ve done it. In the Microsoft Data & AI Team, you’ll join more than 100 data engineers, analysts and scientists, working on innovative projects alongside one another. 


We love to dive deep into data to help clients get to know their company from the inside out. This makes every project a new learning experience we get to share with each other. And we definitely love to share. Through team meetings, data snack sessions, going to conferences and reporting back on them and discussions (called DataCafés) we keep each other in the loop. 


We work where we work best, when we work best. delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Lummen, and Wavre. But it’s important to note we also spend a lot of time connecting and working together with customers on-site.

  • Have at least 4 years of experience in machine learning (ML) and 2 years of experience with generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Mistral or Llama
  • Are able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, using your excellent communication skills 
  • Have strong business acumen, enabling you to understand and address customer needs effectively
  • Are fluent in Dutch and English

Junior Data & AI Consultant (FILLED)

“In my first year at delaware, I’ve been working on the Medusa migration project at De Watergroep. From a back-end perspective, our goal is to migrate and validate the full data model from SQL Server DBMS to the cloud-based Databricks data platform. My role on the project has been to extract the data from the source system and transform it into consistent input for the target system. Then I validate the data to ensure it has been transferred correctly and that all integrity rules have been maintained. This way, data is made available to front-end systems and can be used for the requested processes." — Irene Paolini

Like Irene, you’ll be involved in the entire consulting cycle from A to Z (i.e. from analysis to implementation and training). Your goal is to create end-to-end, integrated data solutions, which could include:

  • Data capturing: you extract and bring together as much structured, semi-sturctured, and unstructured data as possible, wherever it may reside (i.e. ETL process)  
  • Data and information management: you not only integrate and enrich data, you also manage the data architecture, modeling, governance, quality, and security 
  • Analytics and data science: You help your customers generate the right type of insights: from reporting on past events or handling large volumes of data to predicting and even prescribing future events 
  • Visualization: you make sure the data is properly visualized with regard to both content and design. You set up interactive reports and dashboards for our customers
