European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Compliance

The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to make sure that products entering or leaving the EU market are deforestationfree and legally produced. The regulation covers seven key commodities widely used in the food industry: coffee, cocoa, soy, palm oil, cattle, rubber and wood, as well as a wide range of derived products.

Proving that your products cannot be linked to deforestation means building clear visibility into your supply chain - down to farm or plot level.

Why should compliance matter to you?

To give companies time to prepare, the EU has introduced phased deadlines:

  • December 30, 2026: medium and large operators

  • June 30, 2027: micro and small operators

From these dates onward, companies must operate a structured due diligence process, tailored to their role in the supply chain. Why?

  • Avoid financial risk
Non-compliance can lead to fines of up to 4% of annual turnover and potential market restrictions.
  • Sustain your customer relations
Customers increasingly request proof of origin. EUDR compliance ensures you can respond quickly and confidently.
  • Enhance your reputation
Demonstrating sustainable practices strengthens your brand’s reputation among consumers and investors.
  • Ensure EU market access
Sustainability isn’t a differentiator anymoreit’s becoming a requirement. Compliance keeps your products on the shelves.
